arrives!
7th December 2009
Arrived safely in Cape Town on Friday after a relatively stress
free flight from London to beautiful sunny day and road and building work in earnest at the airport
in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.
I had hoped that David Beckham could have taken the time out to meet
me at the airport as he was in Cape Town for Saturday’s draw but unfortunately he appears to have
been busy elsewhere so he sent Hughie instead, a more than adequate substitute !!!!!
Arrived out at Froggy Farm, Simon’s Town, our home for the next six
weeks, to a warm ’bubbles’ welcome from Lesley. The house is wonderful and extremely comfortable
with the most magnificent views over False Bay . My technical staff i.e. Hughie, will attach photos
of said views once I can get space on his infamous ‘to do’ list.
Saturday spent relaxing and catching up with the local gossip with
Hughie and Lesley and then on Sunday Kevin and Judy arrived for lunch with Leila and Miles and
afterwards we all went on to the South African Navy concert in Admiralty Gardens in Simonstown and
more bubbles and picnics on the lawn…….. What a rough life
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
